They offered me a polo for $20, but I had to wait 4 months to get it. Didn't love the idea of waiting, but a TSS polo for 20 bucks? Ok. I ordered. We are all overpaying for high-quality clothing. By a LOT.
A premium $100 polo costs about $10 to manufacture and deliver to the US. A garbage-tier $19.99 polo on Amazon costs about $4 to manufacture and deliver to the US. That's a $6 cost difference…that turns into a $75 price difference. WHY?
The obvious one is Marketing Costs: brands have to pay a TON to get in front of you. Put the polo in a golf store? That takes $55. Sponsor a pro? There's another $5. Want to do Facebook ads? That's $40 PER SHIRT.
